Herrenhaus Möckern was originally part of a historic manor estate first mentioned in official records in 1317. The property once included a brewery, distillery, and brickworks.
The present manor house was built in 1843 in a classical architectural style. After World War II, the estate was expropriated and used as a children’s home in East Germany (GDR) from 1947 until 1995. Afterward, the building stood vacant for many years and gradually fell into disrepair.
Between 2013 and 2015, the manor house underwent extensive restoration and renovation. Today, it serves as an exclusive event venue for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, summer parties, and Christmas celebrations.
